A.N.D

A.N.D. is a Cambodian fair trade brand, working with local artisans to combine design development with traditional skills. At first, the goal of this shop was to support many local workers by encouraging them to use considerable traditional skills, to introduce a stronger element of color and design. Also, the goal was to help them achieve more in all types of market. Although hand-weaving, wood carving, basket-making and many other skills are still practiced in Cambodia, it can be rare to find artisans that are demanded by the international market. There are two founders in A.N.D, from Cambodia and England respectively, draw on their backgrounds in artisanal skills and in design. Blending these all together, they are working with many local producers to create handmade ranges of fashion, fashion accessories and home decors. The name of the brand is coming from the conjoined words that are suited with the characteristics of the shop, artisan and designer. Products that are designed and made in A.N.D are Cotton ikat scarves, clothes by handloom with trendy designs, upcycled, recycled hand bags, jewelries in the best creation, natural dyed cotton wraps, dress with block batik prints, etc. These variety of products catered a lot of choices to the customers. For the AND, British design and marketing adviser Alan Flux, who favours recycled materials like rice bags, cigarette lighters and Anchor bottle tops to create bags, purses and jewellery that would appeal to overseas visitors. Due to the characteristics of the shop that the style of the clothing itself is suited with Cambodia, lots of international and Cambodian customers are visiting this shop.
